"Better LA GC #1" built a beautiful ADU in our backyard. The project was on budget and the results were better than we had hoped. "GC" and "Project Manager" were a consistent and communicative presence at the job site. Their crew is talented and conscientious. We recommend them highly. You should feel confident in hiring them for any construction project. During the planning stage, we looked at pre-fab ADUs as well as other contractors. Probably 10 firms in total. We are so pleased and relieved that we chose "Better LA GC #1". Again, they did an outstanding job. They provide experience, craftsmanship, and a commitment to high standards. From the start, they gave us clear and honest advice and suggestions, and were constantly communicative. As the project went along, they rolled with a lot of decisions we made at the last second, and work we added onto the project. They actually worked faster than anticipated, and the only reason they finished right on schedule and not ahead of schedule was because we ordered some bathroom tile a bit too late and got caught up in supply chain hell! In the end, the work speaks for itself. Various people who have come to visit have mentioned the "wow" factor of the home. They executed our ideas really really well. We entered into this process a bit wary, because we've heard from other people about hellish situations with contractors, but our experience was the opposite. Finished in a timely manner, responsive, taking the initiative in communication, friendly, and leaving us with a great home which feels entirely different than it was before. "GC" was referred to us by our electrician. What more can we say about "GC" and his crew other than they were ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!! We've now used "GC" twice in the last few months. The first time out, we needed trenching done in our driveway as part of our solar upgrade. The second, was to rebuild our brick fence which was demolished, due to the high winds in our area. In both occasions, "GC" was extremely professional and responsive to all of our work. With our solar upgrade, and having to deal with the DWP, he was also very patient and tried to be as flexible as possible for whatever they were requesting. He is VERY detailed with his estimate of the work to be done as well, you know exactly what is covered in the scope of work. Moreover, his team is extremely professional, courteous, responsive, and respectful of you and your property. They cleaned up after they were done and did the same with our neighbors. The communication was fabulous from the first contact. Zack was helpful and informative from the estimate through the entire process. The work was done on schedule (ahead actually) and was perfect. He had quite a few ideas about how best to do the job, but I never felt pressured and always supported. "Better LA GC #1" did a bathroom remodel at our home. It turned out beautifully. "Project Manager" & "GC" were very professional and up front with all costs. Their team is very professional and talented at their individual jobs. "Better LA GC #1" showed the utmost respect for my wife and I, as well as our home. While doing demo for the job, it was discovered that the pipes under the house were all ready to break. Old house. Old galvanized pipes. Re-piped the entire house with copper, for a reasonable price and had the people to do it right away. Job was supposed to take 3 weeks to a month but, because of the re-pipe took about 5 weeks. Subs were here on time, every day. "PM" and/or "GC" would check in every day, at least once and responded immediately with answers to any questions or concerns.
